The Kariba Dam bridged the gap between
Zambia and Zimbabwe and was probably the only border crossing
you could take pictures of in all of Southern and Eastern Africa
(Unless you wanted to get shot at, of course).
The dam actually only had 2 turbines running. We missed
the opening of the gates by only a week and a half.
Similar design to the Hoover Dam, but just not quite
as big.
