Hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro

 

 

Six of us set out one morning (Gaye, Kylie, Zana, Marcelle, Ian, Joshua) to see how far we could tackle the great mountain.

Joshua was proud to show of the trail...and hey, these girls were real troopers. Everyone should be proud of them

Camp #1 at just over 9000ft was a bit chilly, but some good ole peanut butter sandwiches warmed our tummies.

And would you believe, that for 10km down the mountain, and about another 6 km home on blacktop, Zana hiked it all WITHOUT her boots!!! That's right, she got a blister and decided to hoof it back down in her stocking feet. Are you kidding me?!?!? Those are some tough soles. Zana, I don't care what Rory says about you, you're one tough cookie.
